If you are on the road often, you are more likely to experience car trouble and other situations. Roadside assistance helps you avoid being stranded by providing multiple services to get you driving again.
You may not think about roadside assistance until you need it. But having access to those services when you do is an amazing benefit, especially if it is free. Some roadside services you might need if you are in trouble include the following list:
- Battery jumpstarts
- Emergency fuel and motor fluids delivery
- Gas delivery
- Lockout service
- Tire replacement
- Towing and winching
Keep in mind that these free services have limits, such as the number of towing miles.
Likewise, the service may be complimentary, but the parts or components, like tires and fluids, are not.
All Visa and Mastercard holders have access to Visa Roadside Dispatch and Master RoadAssist Roadside Service. American Express has 24/7 roadside assistance for premium cardmembers. But credit card issuers, like Chase and Capital One, have separate policies for their members.
Chase Sapphire Reserve covers up to $50 for each roadside service call, up to four times a year. The Chase Freedom Unlimited, which does not have an annual fee, provides select roadside services for an affordable flat fee.
Capital One Venture Rewards offers cardmembers select roadside services at a set price per call. The cost for the services is conveniently billed to the card.
